The Alto Turia Ride is a five day off road motorcycle event held in the Alto Turia Mountains of Spain. The event base is located 55 miles from Valencia. This event attracts off road riders from all over Europe. The Ride is now in its seventh year, is fully legal and endorsed by Enduro Park Aras Rural. It is organised by very experienced professionals and the aim is to create a relaxed low-key event with an emphasis on a friendly social atmosphere mixed with great off road riding.

Anyone of a sportsman ability and above will enjoy this challenge. You do not need a special race license, only your driving license. Although the ride is based on a rally with stages each day there is no pressure to finish each stage.

The rally attracts all sorts of entrants and machines from across Europe and beyond. You may find yourself next to a Paris Dakar rider or a German adventure sports tourer! The event is popular with enduro riders, trail riders and adventure motorcyclists. It is truly an international, relaxed and friendly experience in a stunning location. Don't be fooled though, the riding is challenging and demanding for both participants and their machines with long days and technical sections. However, you do not need to complete each day to line up the following morning, meaning you can go at your own pace and be confident that you can participate across all five days.

Each day is a Stage and the start and finish is at the event base at a hotel & chalet complex called Aras Rural. The stage length can vary from 100 miles to 200 miles and most of that will be off road. The terrain is varied from fast forest dirt roads to gnarly technical goat tracks, with a special mx enduro test thrown in.

A road book will be issued to you for each stage. This allows you to ride each stage at your own pace. You will need a road book roller box to fix to your handlebar and an accurate odometer in km. The road book is a paper scroll of shorthand signs telling you which way to go and has the accumulated distance marked next to each instruction.

Most days during the route it delivers you to a gas station. You are advised to ensure your bike can travel off road for up to 95 miles (150km) on one tank. Some days will require vehicle assistance to supply jerry cans, this service is included in the Trail Truck package.

We advise you to confirm with your vehicle insurers that they will cover the event - it is a rally not a race and takes place both on and off public highways in Spain. You will also need medical / travel insurance - your normal E111 card will not be enough to cover you if you have an accident in a remote area, contact Trail Truck for recommendations.

W/C 19th May we collect your bike and kit from your home
Saturday May 24th - Fly in to Valencia & transfer to Aras Rural. Reunite with your bike & equipment.
Check into accommodation on site.
Sunday May 25th - Signing in & event scrutineering. Prologue ride. Event briefing.
May 26,27,28,29,30th. Event 5 stages A different loop each day - wonderful riding.
Friday May 30th Closure ceremony & dinner & party.
Saturday 31st May - return flights.
W/C 2nd June we return your bike and gear to your home.

Build your own FLEXI package and get the experience to match your budget and needs. Book any element on it's own or in combination with any other element to build your own package. Your package is made up of three elements:

EVENT ENTRY FEE
No room for manoeuvre here - it's Є980 Euros
This fee is for single rider entry and includes participation in the prologue on Sunday 25th May, five days of the tour Monday26th - Friday 30th, Friday evening dinner and event party. Spanish (continental) breakfast and dinner is included each day in the entry fee.

 

ACCOMMODATION
All our accommodation packages are based at the event HQ at Aras Rural, keeping you right at the heart of the action. Choice of:

Chalet accommodation - minimum of four sharing 30 euros per head per night. 7 night package Є210 euros.
Hotel accommodation - shared room 38 euros per head per night. 7 night package Є266 euros.
Camping - you provide your own camping equipment which can be transferred to the event in our vehicle if you take the Trail Truck support package - Є110 euros per head - remember meals are included in the event entry fee.

 

TRAIL TRUCK SUPPORT PACKAGE
UK - Alto Turia - UK bike transfer. 80 litre box for spares and or kit. Valencia / event pick up and transfer, Trail Truck event representative, access to our fully equipped mobile workshop for end of day washing, maintenance and running repairs. Refuel service with jerry cans supplied. Support on the trail including refueling stops, snacks and fluid stops and breakdown recovery. Overnight bike security.

Enduro / trail bike package from UK mainland £600
Adventure Tourer (GS, Africa Twin etc) package from UK mainland £650
Quads or side car combination package from UK mainland £700

Please note we can only offer collection from UK mainland address. There is £100 surcharge for Scottish pick ups. Collections from outside this area - please contact us for details.

All prices include VAT. Prices quoted in euros will be converted to stirling on the day of booking.

REMEMBER
You will need to source flights to Valencia and medical evacuation / repatriation insurance - we can advice on this. It is your responsibility to ensure your bike is legal and compliant with spanish traffic laws and that you insurance covers riding in Spain. Remember this is a rally not a race!
